Cosima - Ceramicist

Ceramicist Cosima creates work that aims to unconsciously ignite feelings of nostalgia and sentimentality. Majority of her pieces are heavily decorated with block pattern that is punctuated with a variety of bird life. Fascinated by birds and their constant movement which creates a pattern of it's very own; Cosima triggers a romantic and kindred sensation through the adorned surfaces of her work.

After graduating from Glasgow School of Art, Cosima also started her own ceramic gift ware company Kitty & Dude.These quirky and unique ceramics have a wholly 'tongue in cheek' appeal. The entertaining outlook of 'Kitty and Dude' stems from a personal interpretation of childhood pursuits teamed with a potent nod towards 1950's Pop Art and culture. Cosima enjoys combining contrasting ideas and focusing on designs that delight both the aesthetic and intellectual senses.
