Libby - Designer

Most of Libby's inspiration stems from the natural and built surroundings in Scotland, often the points where man and nature meet. Inspiration from natural elements are constrained within a geometric form. Geometric lines follow an organic path, capturing light and extruding shadows.

Libby embraces new technologies but retains handmade craft in her work. She began using cutting technologies as much of the aesthetic of her work lends itself to such. Hand-piercing metal consumed up to six weeks for one piece. And as laser and water- jet cutting is very accurate it also means that waste metal can be recycled at the point of supply. All of her work is hand Formed, press moulded and hand finished.
