Tom - Ceramicist

Tom’s studio is on the shores of Loch Long, Scotland, surrounded by the inspirational scenery of Loch Lomond.

His stoneware range is inspired by back to basics rustic living. Originating as a range of simple, functional items designed for family and friends, it has now developed into a full and rapidly expanding collection of earthy, multi-functional and robust pieces ideal for everyday living.

Due to the hand made nature of these pieces and the reduction firing process, both glaze and body may alter in colour slightly depending on where they are positioned in the kiln. This leads to each piece being an individual creation.

The oatmeal glaze used is food safe. Crackles within the glaze will appear after use with strong tea or coffee – this is a natural feature of this glaze and does not affect its porosity.
