Susiemaroon, launched by Susan in 2005, is a creative company specialising in the design and production of ecological accessories for you and your home. Combining ethical making techniques with high quality recycled and green materials susiemaroon strives to achieve a new kind of cutting-edge sustainable style.

Having studied fine art the susiemaroon designs range from cards, accessories right through to modesty screens. As well as this Susan sticks to her roots as a fine artist creating ambitious installation and film.

“I am truly inspired by the warmth and character of objects, fabrics and pattern from time gone by and try to fragment and reproduce these elements within my individual works. I am passionate about combining my love of thrift shop eclecticism with my work as a designer.

I feel as an artist it is important to employ environmentally responsible methods and materials. Adopting ecological making methods; reusing, recycling and sourcing non-toxic, chemical-free, biodegradable materials I can ensure that susiemaroon assists in the conservation of our environment.”
