A beatifully handmade Silver Quaich with Glenmorangie cask oak handles.
Variations in colour of the wood occur when the whisky is in the barrel, and as it ages and takes the flavour of the wood it, in turn, seeps into the oak and the resulting striations show the history of the oak and whisky. The dark areas are the outer edges of the barrel. It is a wonderful wood as when it is worked you still get a fabulous whisky aroma.
A quaich is a traditional shallow two handled drinking cup or bowl, and in Scotland is often given as a prize or a wedding gift.
Sterling silver hallmarked. Size: 9cm diameter bowl with 14.5cm from edge of both handles.
