Silver serving spoon by Graham - Silversmith - Edinburgh

This spoon is completely hand forged from a silver bar and is crafted over a substantial amount of time. The spoon is hammered from a bar of sterling silver three quarter inch by one quarter inch and from two and three quarters to three inches long. After marking out the shape, the silver is heated at the hearth before being hammered out. The bowl and stem of the spoon are taking rough shape under the hammer. It is then heated again before repeated beating with the hammer. After sending it to get tested and hallmarked, it is finally hammered to final shape and polished. This is a very special and unique piece of design.

Edinburgh hallmarked, sterling silver.

Approx 15cm long, larger spoons can be made on request
